No democracy without role of youths in Afghanistan


27/9/2012 – Reporter: Qiam Noori | The parliamentarian and women rights activist, Farkhunda Zahra Naderi says the democracy is a necessity for the future of Afghanistan and the political establishment should be deepen by the force of the Afghan Youths.

The second summit of the Afghan Youths Civil Society hold in Kabul ( 27/9/2012) with participation of the Culture and Information minister, Dr. Sayeed Makhdom Raheen, a number of MPs, a group of Civil Society activists and hundreds of youths around the country.

The parliamentarian, Farkhunda Zahra Naderi, while speaking in the summit, said to present youths, deepen the democracy in Afghanistan without the great participation of the youths cannot be possible.

Ms Naderi insists the election in Afghanistan should not a shot-term project; rather it should be a continuous process. She as well emphasized over the full participation of the youths in the up-coming 2014 presidential election.

“Democracy is tool for forming a much more bright future to Afghanistan, which needs to be promoted. But, without youths, without the gathering of the youths and without the thoughts of the youths this is impossible.” She added:

The Afghan Youths Civil Society on its kind is one the unique civil society in the country, which has been founded by the support of a number of creative youths and the Culture and Information Ministry’s department for Youths.

The institution, is working around Afghanistan with the paving more opportunities to youths in all political, cultural and social processes, organizing them more properly toward national integrity, ambitions
